ALASKA TOPOGRAPHIC MAPS
AeroMap's mapping department offers topo maps, planimetric maps, shaded relief maps, colored elevation maps and many other maps of the highest possible quality of Alaska, the US and far beyond! AeroMap's photogrammetry department located in Anchorage Alaska utilizes both softcopy and analytical stereoplotter systems to extract planimetric and topographic information from aerial photographs. All our mapping instruments are equipped with high-speed computers and the latest mapping software that provides for efficient collection of geospatial data directly into DWG format or DGN format. Through our mapping business partners we are able to provide you with the best quality maps available, the fastest way possible!
ALASKA AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY
AeroMap U.S. of Anchorage Alaska has four twin-engine, turbocharged aircraft available for acquisition of aerial photography. Aboard these aircraft are two Zeiss TOP camera systems, specifically designed for airborne GPS data acquisition. These Forward Motion Compensating (FMC) cameras have been carefully tested and calibrated for airborne GPS operation at a special test course developed in Anchorage, Alaska. In addition, these cameras undergo normal calibration by the U.S. Geological Survey every three years to guarantee the highest quality aerial photography.
REMOTE SENSING
Historically, AeroMap has been a pioneer in remote sensing technology in Alaska. In the early 1970's we owned and operated a customized laser sea-ice profiler designed specifically for the oil industry. During that same era we also provided film-based thermal scanning and magnetic airborne surveys coupled with interpretation.Today we own a SpecTerra Systems DMSV Mk-1 sensor. It is a compact, lightweight, four CCD sensor system for acquisition of high-resolution digital imagery.
SATELLITE IMAGING
Since the 1980's AeroMap has been involved in marketing and processing satellite imagery, including QuickBird, OrbView, LandSAT, SPOT, IKONOS, RADARSAT, and both European Remote Sensing satellites.We are the Alaska reseller for DigitalGlobe (QuickBird), ORBIMAGE (OrbView), RADARSAT, and SPOT Satellite Imagery.AeroMap can supply you with the appropriate satellite imagery from the highest resolution such as QuickBird, to medium resolution such as SPOT, to LANDSAT, which provides a lower resolution satellite image product.
